Biometric Mirror examines the assumptions built into facial-recognition algorithms. The experience invites visitors into a futuristic beauty salon where an AI analyses their face and generates a mathematically “perfected” version based on a dataset of assessed emotional states and attractiveness.
My Role
I collaborated with lead artist Lucy McRae and researcher Niels Wouters to design and build the software systems that brought the work to life. Together we developed a gallery-ready interactive that is equal parts seductive and unsettling.
